Highlights: NOT A TYPICAL SIV!
Fear and excitement are prevalent energies of a regular SIV. This training concept highlights the mental component, helping to free our minds and bodies of manoeuvre-anxiety and empowering our unconscious to support our learning goals.

Managing the mind provides more opportunity to be present during your runs, allowing each pilot to take more from their course, leaving with a higher level of self-confidence and awareness of their achievements.

Profession: Paragliding instructor at TTF

Tom Rast is an incredibly versatile pilot and paragliding instructor at timetofly.ch, located in the Swiss Alps. In Tom’s SIV trainings, pilots will work their way through the essential manoeuvres for safety in paragliding, from wingovers to full-stalls. If pilots are confident, motivated and prepared, they could have a chance to leave after their first SATs!

The atmosphere around Tom highlights the fun of flying with friends, sharing passion for the sport. This energy provides an ideal environment to build confidence and feel free to explore the parameters of our gliders.

“I never feel embarrassed when flying and learning with Tom- He’s pushing my progress, trusting my abilities and I can always ask him any question to get the information I need to develop my flying skills. If I am doing a mistake he will look it over with me in a calm  and constructive way.”
~ Amira Nenaj (former SIV student)

Often commended for his calmness, approachability and humour, Tom finds hisreward in the big smile and happiness when his trainees could succeed.
